    goosebumps by: Travis Scott;
    Shape Of You by: Ed Sheeran;
    Slide by: Calvin Harris featuring: Frank Ocean and Migos;
    There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back by: Shawn Mendes;
    What Ifs? by: Kane Brown featuring: Lauren Alaina.

    10. Water Under The Bridge by: Adele
    9. HUMBLE. by: Kendrick Lamar
    8. I Feel It Coming by: The Weeknd featuring: Daft Punk
    7. Redbone by: Childish Gambino
    6. All Time Low by: Jon Bellion
    5. Sign Of The Times by: Harry Styles
    4. It Ain't Me by: Kygo with: Selena Gomez
    3. Castle On The Hill by: Ed Sheeran
    2. DNA. by: Kendrick Lamar
    1. Praying by: Kesha

  2. I don't know… Praying as the best song of the year? It feels to me like the narrative of Kesha's big comeback following the sexual assault case is more important than the music for critics. As a song, it's okay, but that's all it is.

  3. Honorable Mentions.

    1.) At least it isn't "Grenade" 2.0, unlike "Mercy", i'll give Shawn Mendes that much.

    2.) #10 on mine. Any fucks I had about the man's falsetto I left at the door, that groove is unstoppable.

    3.) I also don't hate this, I only hate the trend it may have started. Despacito probably wouldn't have been the monster it was if it weren't for this jumpstarting that Ragge-Ton revival, and we probably wouldn't have gotten "Mi Gente" along with it. But this, this is fine.

    4.) Another sloppy seconds song. I just had to let this one fly away. Although I would have put it on the list if that weren't the case.

    5.) Good to know there is someone other than The Weeknd that I can count on when I want my fix of dark sounding trap music.

    6.) Honestly "Feels" was my pick of choice between the 2 Funk Bounce Calvin Harris songs that were hits, I like this one to, I just didn't have much to say other than Frank Ocean and Migos? What was being smoked for any record exec to come to that conclusion and can I have some?

    7.) By the skin of it's teeth it escaped my list to. I just could not justify it any way I looked at it other than it clearly being the best country song to be a hit this year.

    The List.

    10.) #3 on mine. I couldn't help it. That said I think Adele is running out of quality songs off of 25, if this is the note she wants to go out on for this album cycle, i'm totally fine with that, and if even not, she did release the worst song from that album as a single so the single choice if they do release another one can still go up.

    9.) Pretty much anything off of "Damn" is an easy Best Of List contender. Loyalty was in the running for mine and i'm hoping Kendrick gets more than just the one #1 hit.

    8.) First off, love this song, almost wish this made my list. Second, even if False Alarm wasn't gonna be a hit, they had "Ordinary Life", "Sidewalks", and "Love To Lay" just sitting there but they just snagged some forgettable deep cuts instead. Shame. Sidewalks would have cleaned up if they had even bothered.

    7.) Proof that memes can do some good. To bad that context had labeled him as novelty. We truly can't have nice things, can we? Another painful cut on my part, but it is hands down one of my favorite soundtrack hits, right up there with that Run The Jewels song from Baby Driver.

    6.) I gave this one every opportunity I could for it to impress me and it just never got there. I like that it exists, but thats about it.

    5.) #4 on mine. Nuff said.

    4.) #7 on mine. If the only way were gonna get quality out of Selena is to have her work with other people, then so be it. Also i'll take Kygo any day of the work over all the other mainstream electronic producers, I mean as long as Calvin Harris keeps the direction he is on right now.

    3.) #4 on mine. Only escaping this honor by "Afire Love" as his best song but this thing comes damn close.

    2.) and 1.) Again mirroring mine. Kendrick and Kesha in top form. The ultimate success story of 2 promising talents, one at the pique of his commercia powers, and the other breaking free of the limits imposed upon her and having her efforts justly rewarded. It isn't just for the benefit of musical quality that i'm happy these are hits, but for the cultural impact they will leave as a whole, I mean someone has gotta wipe away all that Kodak Black and Sam Hunt off of the walls. So yeah, no argument here.

  4. I love the video and I agree with almost all your points (that sounds cliche I know and everyones said it, but it's true), but saying that Niall Horan and Harry styles are on the same level is criminal. I wasn't a fan of One Direction, but I always knew that Harry was the most talented of the bunch. In sign of the times and Harry's whole album, you can clearly hear Harry's amazing range is and how well he can pull off those higher notes. The composition suits Harry phenomenally and it was an extremely bold move to put a 5 minute rock song as a single into a world dominated by trap beats and shallow lyrics. While with Niall all you have is a small range and unoriginality. Don't get me wrong some of Niall's songs are quite unique (like This Town), but others just sound like everything else out there and it's disappointing.

    I know I probably sound like a crazy Harry fan girl but I'm really not, I just found it ridiculous how you compared those two together. Mind you this is just my opinion, and I'd love to hear everyone else's 🙂

    69. Wish I Didn't Love You by Chloe Kohanski
    67. Tennessee Rain by Addison Agen
    11. River by Eminem feat. Ed Sheeran

  6. Yes, Shape of You was overhated. I really like how it's produced, all the subtle textures make it a lot better than most tropical house. As soon as you notice that tiny knocking noise on the offbeat it becomes 100 times catchier.

    Also I could listen to Ed tell me he's in love with my body all day tbh.
