  1. A cravat tied for formal occasions would be the same way as a regular necktie. Be careful not to tie it as tightly as a regular necktie keeping a larger knot and the blades tucked under vest or coat.

  2. All ascots are cravats, but not all cravats are ascots. The main difference between a cravat and an ascot is that cravats are worn over the shirt and ascots are worn under the shirt. What we see here is an ascot.

  3. Cravat is a generic term that encompasses all neck ties. However, some areas call the Ascot a cravat, and distinguish them from modern neck ties. That is an artificial distinction most likely to be seen in trade, and by people who don't know any better. I true Regency or Victorian cravat would have been made of silk or fine cotton, and would have been rectangular in shape, roughly 4 to 6 inches in width, and about 52 inches long.

  4. thats not even called tieing it up , she just basically folded around and flopped it over and tucked it in LOL wouldnt even consider what is said on the title of this video
